We live in a world where success is measured through the busy noise of life. A good job, costly car and flat etc are the benchmarks for a successful life. The more luxury you have, the more successful you are. To be frank, we can’t imagine a “primitive” type of life where everything that you have been enjoying or wishing to experience in future is missing. A life without DJ party to rock your ears? A life without tons of notifications to satisfy your ego? Who wants to have such a boring life? I guess most of us, especially the teens, would do anything to avoid such a humdrum life. But is a calm and quiet life scary or is it just an unexplored utopian realm?
I woke up after listening to the annoying alarm sound from my cell phone. Like a robot, I did what I do every day — wake up at a particular time, prepare for office. In the office, my eyes fixed on computer screen and fingers dancing on the keyboard to finish a project within a deadline. I have no time to care about others at the office. During holidays, that comes once in a blue moon, I followed the same humdrum routine. It took me a few years to realize that my workload was increasing and my emotional and physical health was decreasing. I resigned my job in 2016 and didn’t apply for another job.
Oh yeah! It is Valentine’s Day! B…bu…but why am I so excited as I am single? Maybe it’s because I got a topic to write. Today is the day of love. The day to propose someone and the day for successful lovers to celebrate, spend magical moments with the lover. Today is the day when beautiful ladies and handsome guys must swim across the ocean of love letters, online messages and costly gifts. I am annoyed when I get frequent notifications on my phone; I wonder how machomen and pretty girls tolerate tons of notification that they get on their phone today. May every nice person who have rehearsed last night to propose to their crush, with magical words, become successful. Ok, I am tired sugarcoating Valentine’s day with my words, now let me express my views about Valentine’s day.
